Medicine Balls

The ability to generate strength and power is a very important component for success in many sports, particularly in those involving explosive movements. Medicine ball training, in conjunction with a program of weight training and circuit training, can be used to develop strength and power. Certain medicine ball exercises can also be used as part of a plyometric training program to develop explosive movements. Medicine ball training is appropriate to all levels of ability, age, development and sport. To be most effective the program should contain exercises that match the pattern of movements of the sport.

    • @reneetara We absolutely do! In fact, Nu Era Fitness started a little over a year ago. We came onto the CrossFit scene in an effort to supply the community with CrossFit equipment. Since opening, we have outfitted numerous boxes, gyms, public service departments, schools, and military units. What’s your story?

      • i started doing crossfit in 2009 and it has changed the way i feel about fitness forever now. I train at a gym in my hometown called farmproject and its a great program. We do wallball shots in numerous workouts, and it has also been brought into our high school, and a lot of kids take the class, although some of the people at school dont agree with it, just because its different though. I think it is a great way to get in shape and stay in shape, i also do the paleo diet but right now with the holidays ive been slack but ill be starting back up in the new year, ive noticed the way you eat really effects how well you perform.
